The atmosphere hums quietly with the gentle bustle of locals, from service members to nearby workers, all drawn here by the unmistakable promise of quality and care in every bite. Behind the counter, friendly faces welcome you with genuine warmth, creating a feeling of connection that goes beyond the food itself.

Menu highlights at Hoagie’s don’t just fill you up—they tell a story of tradition balanced with a dash of creative spirit. Whether it’s the smoky depth of their house-cured meats or the comforting melt of a cheesy British sub, each sandwich offers layers of flavor that reward a slow, mindful bite. Even the veggie options surprise with thoughtful touches, making it clear this is a kitchen that values both quality and inclusivity.

Don’t overlook the simple joys tucked into the experience—like the smell of freshly baked cookies or the grab-and-go bottled drinks that complete a quick lunch or a leisurely weekend visit. Prices here respect your wallet without sacrificing the heart of good ingredients and attentive preparation.

Hoagie’s Sub Deli quietly cultivates a sense of community, anchored in good food and approachable service. It’s the kind of place you return to not out of necessity, but because it feels like a part of your daily rhythm—a modest yet essential slice of local flavor in Tacoma’s dining landscape.

Look, it only gets a 3 for atmosphere because it is older. But it is a much loved 3. They just make it like your neighborhood deli. It clearly is the place for service men and women, along with anyone who knows a good sandwich. Just good quality.

Most favorite goto spot to find a delicious satisfying sandwich seriously no matter if its hot cold or just blah outside more than good food and outstanding service quick as heck

My favorite sandwich place. I try and drop by every couple weeks for lunch Owners are extremely friendly, place is very clean, prices are reasonable and without a doubt they have the best sandwiches in the area. Cheesy British is probably their signature, I’m a big fan of the German, but honestly you can’t go wrong with anything here. 5/5

Great place for Sub Sandwiches! This is a small, hidden-in-plain-site, out-of-the-way deli shop. I can highly recommend this place as their staff are friendly, the store is clean and well-kept, and they have fantastic sub sandwiches... based on the old Hoagies Corner deli subs. They are not an exact duplicate but they are close, as close as you're ever going to get. So, if you're looking for the old Cheesy British, German, Italian, French, American, Old Smokey, etc.. deli subs then this place is as close as you are going to get. You won't find any subs closer tasting to the old Hoagies Corner subs than here. Although, the hoagies are not 100% true to the old Hoagies Corner subs they are pretty close and make an excellent substitute. The business is called "Hoagies Sub Deli" and it's on Bridgeport Way in Lakewood.

Family owned and great service. The sandwiches are absolutely delicious, I wish we could get them on the weekend too! If you haven't tried them, you SHOULD.

I searched for this place just as a nearby place to get lunch and I was pleasantly surprised by my experience. Walking in, I was greeted by an almost overwhelming amount of service and hospitality and it felt like my experience was the very most important thing on everyone’s mind there. The workers were very helpful in giving their recommendations and I had a mouth watering Philly Cheesesteak. Unfortunately I don’t live in the area but if I did, I’d be a regular here.

I went here 8/11/25. This is a cute little ‘family business’ I’m assuming. Everyone was really nice and welcoming, the place is really quiet and the young gentleman at the counter was really nice! You can tell they put everything into this place by how clean it is!. As for the food, I got a ham and Swiss cheese sandwich.. etc and my boyfriend got an Italian. They were so good!! Everything tasted fresh and the bread was unbelievable soft. I do wish I came later in the evening to taste the cookies because I seen they were made there! They also have VERY good prices!. 10/10recommend! I will DEFINITELY be going back.
